How Does Phospholipid Exchange Therapy Work?

In the body, toxins can be stored in body fat for long periods of time, and these toxins can stay in the phospholipid layers of cells to cause increased levels of toxicity and cellular degeneration. Chemicals from preservatives in foods, pesticides, and some prescription drugs may stay in cellular membranes, which can cause dysfunction in the brain, nervous system, and immune system.

Usually these toxins can only be excreted after going through the liver into the gut or through sweat. However, even after doing a regular detoxification program, dangerous chemicals may still stay lodged in the cell membranes.

This therapy is particularly important in modern times because of the rise in chemicals, which are all easily absorbed into fatty tissues and include:

  • PCB’s
  • PBB’s
  • Organophosphate Pesticides
  • Organochlorine Pesticides
  • Lead
  • Mercury

The process of Phospholipid Exchange Therapy simply involves injecting PC (phosphatidylcholine) into the bloodstream in order to make it available for the body to use in cell membranes.

PC is the main component of cellular membranes, and it comprises 70% of the phospholipid bilayer. Phospholipid Exchange Therapy replenishes fats and oils in the correct proportion within cell membranes and inside cells. This therapy replaces toxic fatty oils that contain pesticides, toxic heavy metals, and dangerous organic compounds with cleaner versions of fatty oils, which can help patients to detoxify their systems.

This increased availability of PC can restore function to existing cell membranes, reverse age related changes in the lipid or fat composition of heart muscle cells, and restores function to organ systems. Detoxifying substances that are toxic to the brain from cells is vital to the normal functioning of the cells and brain and the return to health.

Patients diagnosed with chronic illnesses may be potentially classified as having ‘Neurotoxic Membrane Syndrome’ (NMS) with the endothelial or the neuronal cell membrane as the target of degeneration. The chemicals mentioned above may activate and lead to NMS, which may be the reason disorders such as heart disease, liver damage, kidney failure, autoimmune diseases, and neurodegenerative diseases have all improved with Phospholipid Exchange Therapy.

Other Disorders That May Improve With Phospholipid Exchange Therapy

  • Chronic Fatigue & Immune Dysfunction Syndrome (CFIDS)
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
  • Autism Spectrum Disorders
  • Cardiovascular Disease
  • Rheumatoid Arthritis
  • Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)
  • Infertility
  • ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease)
  • Parkinson's Disease
  • Lyme Disease
  • Sick Building Syndrome
  • Diabetes
  • Optic Neuritis
  • Heavy Metal Toxicity
  • Pulmonary Hemorrhage
  • Stroke

Dr. Mathur's clinical results with phospholipid exchange therapy have been very promising. This technique has been used in Eastern Europe for decades with significant success. While Dr. Patricia Kane pioneered remarkable clinical results through intravenous administration, good results are also achievable with oral therapy.

If you or a loved one experience any of these conditions or suffer from an undiagnosed chronic illness, phospholipid therapy may address the underlying cause of your health challenges.
